Director John Durbrow and Arboretum friends John and Cher Burish recently shared photos of the progress on the George E. & Susan E. Schiereck Grimm Council Circle and Ivy Walls being installed by A. Chappa Construction at the Van der Brohe Arboretum. John Burish is the nephew of George Grimm, who sponsored the installation.
The Ivy Walls are erected and await planting.
The floor and seating, entrance stonework, fire ring, and circle’s name stone have now been installed. Pavers are available for individual sponsorship and memorials. Construction of the circle began in fall of 2022 and is expected to be complete before winter 2023. (Pavers will continue to be available until they have all been sponsored.)
