As Van der Brohe Arboretum is a new and evolving organization, this position offers the right individual an opportunity to be instrumental in assisting with the creating and maintaining of a valuable natural area in Northeast Wisconsin. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of The Arboretum grounds. Black-Eyed Susan Explosion

Mid-July is a great time to come take a walk at the Arboretum. The Black-eyed Susans, planted throughout the grounds, have bloomed and are spectacular. These flowers will attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators to the grounds and the seeds are loved by birds.

Jean Ammerman, her daughter Theresa Kronforst, and granddaughter Clara Kronforst, have installed and maintain a Monarch Butterfly hatchery on the VDBA grounds. The Monarch Butterfly Pavilion is located adjacent to a trail such that visitors can observe the butterfly in various stages of development.
