Kick off the festivities with engaging talks from John Durbrow, the founder and director of Van der Brohe Arboretum, and Darla LeClair, a City of Two Rivers Council Member and Chair of the Environmental Advisory Board. John will enlighten us about diverse tree species, the value of wildlife and birds as a determinant in tree and plant selection, and practical tips for conservation efforts. Meanwhile, Darla will shed light on what the EAB is and their mission to further the environmental protection and conservation of energy and natural resources through initiatives and public education, plus the ambitious plans they have for the City of Two Rivers.

After the introduction, join us for an exciting scavenger hunt across the grounds! Kids and adults will have a blast exploring as they use the map to navigate to five designated Leaf Locations and collect all five leaves.

Keep your senses sharp as you search for the hidden treasure of Special Leaves scattered along the trails. These special leaves won’t be marked on the map, so be vigilant!

Then make sure you’ve gathered all five leaves plus one of the Special Leaves, and exchange your Special Leaf for a prize at the Propagation Center.

A few rules to keep in mind for the scavenger hunt:

  • Please only take one leaf per family/group from each Leaf Location.
  • Each family/group may only find and take one Special Leaf.
  • Please stay on the trails at all times. You will not need to walk through any gardens, fields or plantings to get to any of the leaves.
  • Enjoy the Arboretum, the trees, and have fun!
