One of the goals of the Arboretum is to offer opportunity for quiet reflection. Two recent bench installations on the Arboretum grounds offer visitors a place to sit, relax, and soak in some nature.
The bright green metal bench at the west end of the grounds was designed by founder John Durbrow and fabricated by a metal works company. It features cut-outs in a geometric design and the words “VAN DER BROHE ARBORETUM.”
The wooden and stone bench located near the main entrance offers magnificent meadow views. The bench was designed and built by John Durbrow, with natural edged stone bases purchased from Valders Stone. As a bonus, the bench offers a shady spot for smaller visitors to rest.
Be sure to try out the benches during your next walk!
