On the morning of October 3, 2020, VDBA Director John Durbrow conducted a tour of the Arboretum as a benefit for Glacial Lakes Conservancy. Despite the poor weather and Covid-19, turnout was good.
Attendees were challenged to imagine many aspects of the vision for the development of the grounds, but could get a strong impression of the framework for the project.
Glacial Lakes Conservancy is a Land Trust serving five counties in northeast Wisconsin. VDBA donated a Conservation Easement to GLC to insure that the grounds will be retained as an Arboretum and a Bird Sanctuary in perpetuity.
The cost for the tour was $25/person; proceeds were donated to the Glacial Lakes Conservancy.
